On this page I provide a couple builds of the Mozilla XForms browser addon. In general I try to provide builds for Windows (x86) and Linux (x86 and x86_64), but depending on the build machines available at that particular day, the supported platforms may vary.
There is currently NO MAC OSX BUILD available. Please drop me a note if you have a Mac OSX machine or a (even better) XServe server and are willing to provide nightly builds for XForms. I myself am not able to provide these builds.
NEW 2011-01-04:A beta version of the upcoming Mozilla XForms 0.8.8 for Firefox 4 is now available for download. It should work on Windows (32 bit) as well as Linux (32 and 64 bit) and requires at least Firefox 4 Beta 8. Please give it a try and report any regressions over previous version on the mailing list or open a bug report (How do I do that?).
No final version of Mozilla XForms for Firefox 4 has been released yet. Nightly builds are generated however, have a look at builds/nightly-trunk/latest. When using nightly builds, you should use a nightly build of Firefox from the same day as well!
New: debug builds are available as well! Use those (alone or together with a Firefox debug build) to get more details if a form does not work as expected.
XForms for Firefox 3.6 is available from addons.mozilla.org. Please get the release version 0.8.7 from there.
There is no official release of the XForms extension for Firefox 3.5 and (probably) never will be one.
If you are running Firefox 3.5, give this build a try: xforms-0.8.7pre-ff3.5.xpi. It contains binary parts for Windows (32 bit) and Linux (32 and 64bit) and has been tested by many people and should be working.
There is now an official release on addons.mozilla.org. This obsoletes the build that was provided here.
OpenSolaris users: OpenSolaris 2008.11 now ships with Firefox 3. If you want to use XForms on that platform, give the following XPI a chance: xforms_0.8.6ff3-solaris-x86.xpi. It should work with OpenSolaris 2008.11 x86 and the default Firefox package (which has been built with the SunCC compiler).
