XForms for Firefox 3.6

January 21st, 2010 · 4 Comments · other stuff

Firefox 3.6 will be released today, Januar 21st. Unfortunately the XForms extension for this version is not yet ready. We’re planning an official release for Firefox 3.6 within this quarter, see bug 539184 for details. The nightly builds for 3.6 are currently broken as well, I hope to get this fixed until the end of the week.

As a side note, there will be no official release for XForms for Firefox 3.5. The XPI package available at my builds page has been tested by many people and works well, but no further development efforts will go into that version.

Watching and waiting. Thanks for keeping the XForms add-on alive even without “official” support.

Hello Philipp – keep up the good work. I am avidly awaiting for 3.6x!

I would pay for an xforms engine like you have produced! Feel I ought to donate to allow it to continue to being the best fully featured product.

    Cheers

Hooray! XF for 3.6 is here!

For some reason I am unable to install it on latest Ubuntu 64bit :(

    Will keep trying

    But this is good news.

Thank you, keep up the good work

The released version 0.8.7 from addons.mozilla.org works for me on Ubuntu 10.04 amd64. Try to start Firefox with a new profile to see if that solves the problem.
